Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has been an actor in Canada as well as New Zealand for over a decade. She was born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, making her the second-youngest winner in Oscar history. It was her first role at the age of nine and had no acting experience. She moved into the United States as a teen. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. Also, she was a leading role on the screen in Fly Away Home, a film from the same year. Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the Spanish queen in a lesser role. She portrayed teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
