Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Amy Smart was raised in California, USA. She began the modeling profession in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as a actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. The struggle she had to get the role for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was extremely intense. It was difficult for her to make the transition between modeling and acting because the models werent usually believed to be actors and were mostly assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy persevered, and eventually she landed bigger roles in films Varsity Blues and The 70s. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform larger roles. Amy became famous for her work in the last decade. Amy went on to star in major movies like the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
